We are very pleased with our recent shade sail installation from SunGuard Shade Sails. They were one of only two companies who actually responded to our requests for a quote, and were also the most competitively priced. Ben was easy to deal with and quick to respond to my questions and changes. I received text messages the morning of the installation dates to inform me of when to expect the installer, and then received a follow up phone call when he was soon to arrive. The installer hand dug all the holes by himself to minimise the risk of hitting any underground utilities (we already did dial before you dig). He then concreted in the posts before returning a couple of weeks later to install the sail. Pretty impressive for a large 3 car bay sail. I highly recommend SunGuard Shade Sails and would definitely use them again.

I’m a busy man and don’t often take the time to leave reviews, but with Ben’s service, professionalism and craftsmanship - I simply had to take the time to sit down and give him & Sunguard 5 stars (would have been 6/5 stars if Google let me!). I contacted Ben after speaking with another well rated Brisbane shade installer. That company sent out their sales rep, who clearly didn’t care about my safety concerns with our current aged/torn/loose sail and the dangers that posed to our 14 month old daughter (after showing Ben and the Sunguard team, who actually took the time to explain the cause of each issue and how Sunguard would resolve them, which put my mind at ease). I had to chase the other company down for days just to finally receive my quote (received after having them “resend” it), and all they wanted was a deposit before they’d talk about any of our safety concerns. Their plan was to just use all the old roof fittings that were not waterproof and loose. Ben and the Sunguard team’s professionalism from start to finish was simply second to none. From the initial site visit and plan, to preparing all of the fittings and new posts where required, to attaching an absolutely top notch, beautiful gun-metal grey sail - kudos to Sunguard Custom Shade Sails! It’s hard to find tradesmen at the moment, and finding a team who truly care and take pride in their customers safety, their products quality, and their customers experience from start to finish (and aftercare) feels like winning the lottery in 2024. 6/5 stars to Ben and the team. If only all tradesmen took as much pride in their work and were as professional as Sunguard. They simply don’t make em’ like this anymore.
